FOOTBALL IS ALMOST HERE.
ASU opens fall camp this week, and you better believe Speak of the Devils gets you ready like only we can.
After getting you caught up on the latest news (uniforms!), we dive into an in-depth look at the key storylines and position battles on the Sun Devil offense. We cap that with a sit down interview with dynamic running De'Chavon "Gump" Hayes.
Next up, we examine the defense and the special teams, before we are joined by "The Voice of the Sun Devils" Tim Healey to get his thoughts on what to keep an eye on during camp.

It's getting closer.
As the new season nears, we once again kick off another year of Speak of the Devils by bringing in some of the biggest names in college football coverage to get a national outlook of the Sun Devils.
But first, we catch you up on the latest ASU news before we welcome in Ralph Amsden of ASUDevils.com. One of the most dialed-in recruiting reporters anywhere, Ralph dishes on the latest from the recruiting trail.

1996. Need we say more?
It's the most celebrated team in Arizona State history. The Pac-10 champions came within seconds of taking home the national championship, and in the process, created countless memories and captured out hearts.
We celebrate this legendary team by talking with TWELVE of the most key players from that year. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this unprecedented look back at that magical year. Note the time index below for each player should you feel the need to skip ahead

Keith Poole (3:47): One of the top pass catchers in ASU history, he capped off the regular season with an iconic pose.
J.R. Redmond (15:47): A true freshman in 1996, Redmond's authored one of the marquee moments of the year in the win over UCLA.
Damien Richardson (43:08): The hard-hitting safety was a key difference maker on the defense.
Kyle Murphy (1:00:06): One of the most decorated lineman in program history, Murphy helped pave the way for the powerful Devil offense.
Terry Battle (1:22:04): Stepping in for Michael Martin, Battle ran for over 1,000 yards and scored 20 touchdowns.
Jeremy Staat (1:33:09): Before winning Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year & serving in the Marines, Staat helped man the defensive line in 1996.
Jeff Paulk (1:42:38): A bruising fullback, "Jurassic" Paulk cleared the way for the run game and became a fan favorite.
Grey Ruegamer (1:56:30): The young stud on the offensive line, Ruegamer locked down the right side of the offensive line.
Juan Roque (2:06:37): A consensus All-American tackle, no one bleeds more maroon and gold than Roque.
Derek Smith (2:25:11): The linebacker was a quiet assassin on the field and gave a dominating presence in the middle.
Derrick Rodgers (2:41:09): The defensive end made his one year at ASU count in the biggest way, becoming a non-stop sack machine.
Jake Plummer (3:03:34): "The Snake" remains arguably the most popular player in franchise history for his heroic efforts on the field.

Next up, we break down the new Sun Devils on offense, including the top signings, sleepers, and the ones that got away. We then are joined by new quarterback Brady White and running back Jaason Lewis to get their thoughts on the biggest day of their lives, and what they will look to do at ASU.
Then we head over to defense. ASU picked up some major new talent on that side of the ball, and we go player-by-player in evaluating the new guys who will put the D in Devils. We cap the segment with visits from new defensive lineman Jalen Bates and linebacker Khaylan Thomas.
